BD told someone I was too out of date to be reliable about tech stuff.
Gee, after all I have done to help people understand hard to understand
things.

Funny!

I've got my days and nights mixed up again, so I guess I'm a mess too.
I'm going to try to catch up.

Betty formulated on Thursday :
I still get up at the right time every morning. The problem is all the
other times I wake up.

Me too. Plus, when I stay awake most of the night I go back to sleep
after coffee. It gets tiresome. I remember sleeping through the night,
before I had so much to think about. The world is so different, and life
has changed.

I hope you're feeling better, FTR.

I have around seven blisters per square inch on both palms. Some on my
feet too, which were mostly clear for a long time. I see (or talk) to
the doctor at the end of the month and suspect she will agree that
infliximab isn't working or needs to be increased in dosage.

Mentally, I'm good. Better weather for walking is coming, and getting
out there is good for me I think. I have an experiment underway and am
curious about the outcome, but won't know until later on.

I was just thinking about your walks, that you haven't mentioned any
lately. I hate to hear about your hands and feet, the blisters must be
terrible to live with. It's also unnerving to think of increasing a
dangerous medication that could put you at greater risk of becoming ill.
It is good that you have a doctor that you can talk to, hopefully a very
good doctor.

I'm glad you're not depressed and I hope you will soon be able to go for
walks again. The experiment sounds mysterious, I'll be curious about the
outcome too. I was going to move plants outside yesterday, but didn't
make it. I did check the chrysalis and it looks unchanged. I hope I can
move it outside today, and I hope I can eventually see the butterfly
emerge, maybe film it.

It happens that Betty formulated :
That would be cool.

Cold and windy today, a little snow blows in from the Great Lakes but
it is just a few flakes at a time.

I saw a forecast for snow and another report of a major winter storm for
the northeast, but I haven't checked this afternoon. I hope you don't
have a snow storm this late, as a walk would be good for you.

That would seem unusual, but I know it has snowed this late before. We
had a surprise ice event in Dallas in April one year ... ages ago. I'm
not looking for either one and I hope you are not.

Server is down again.

Betty has brought this to us :
I noticed :(

We don't put the screens in the windows until the end of April because
they can get ruined in a snowstorm. We have had substantial snowfall in
late April before too.

Late April does seem far into spring for snow, but weather patterns do
change. Maybe there is no such thing as normal. A thunderstorm came by
here around 11:30 this morning, the sun is shining now. I wish it would
drizzle all day.

I'm still trying to keep up with the changing virus stories. I'm not
seeing what the stubborn deniers are espousing.

Every lecture and video I have seen says that the economy suffers more
if the restrictions are not observed. They figure on around a 50
percent compliance and make an estimate of total deaths. Then, with
better than 50 percent compliance, they get a new estimate. They give
us good news about lower death tolls and the deniers blame them for the
overestimate claiming it was scare mongering by the democratic deep
state to undermine the president's re-election chances. It is
absolutely insane. I won't vote for Trump this time, in fact I doubt I
will vote republican ever.

I was just reading about the food stamp program that Trump was going to
cut, it seems that he's changed his mind. He wants to keep taking money
from poor people and giving it to the people who have way more than it
takes to live a comfortable life. There is another article about the
very wealthy and what their role should be during times like this, I
haven't finished reading that one. Anyway, this pandemic should not be
politicized, it concerns life and death of real people, not just
numbers. When I read a certain group and see the comments, I think what
the story would be if a certain person's children and grandchildren all
succumbed to Covid-19.

I know nothing of the 'economy' or how the current situation affects it.
I can see what happens to the airlines when they are grounded, but not
why the stock market is affected. I can understand shortages caused by
hoarding and the strain on medical facilities, but I can't understand
fifty different stories about one problem. If you have no experience in
a particular field, how do you know which 'expert' is closer to the
basic truth and a solution? Health care workers are having a very
difficult time, their lives are in jeopardy too.

Trump lies with every breath and his cult believes him. I don't. I've
watched him for years and decided that he is a big nothingburger
himself. He is battling another law suit right now and he lost the move
to have it changed to arbitration. There is something terribly wrong
with him and I hope he is not reelected.

I think the big idea now is that one should not allow the media to
serve them news. Take control of their own feeds, go to news programs
around the world and don't trust our own sensationalist
news/entertainment fake news sources.

Reading usenet, I'm saddened by the fact that people can believe such
stupid things as the 'deep state' paranoia Trump expounds. Certain
media talking heads are only there to be controversial, and these
incredible idiots are believing every word.

Betty

I am stunned at some of the things people believe. I noticed that some
of the Trump followers change their stories when they back themselves
into a corner. Those are few, as most of them never admit to being wrong
about anything. Trump is a con artist, makes things up, and he knows how
to sell his stories to his ignorant fan club.

I did more reading and realized that I hadn't taken everything into
consideration regarding the economy. Like people losing their jobs and
not having money to spend, restaurants being closed, small businesses of
all kinds closing down. It's bad. I had read about the news feeds
several days ago. The networks said that Trump was spouting too much
misinformation and his base takes him seriously. I don't see how they
can. A judge has also ruled that some un-aired tapes of his TV show have
to be turned over ... I forget to whom and why, will have to look it up
again.

I know about the law suit, he lost on his bid for arbitration. I think
the tape thing is something else, but I don't know. It may be part of
the same case.
