I've been watching videos of meerkats ... so cute. Too bad they aren't
native to your area, you could get some great photos and videos. They
like boiled eggs, so I don't know how you would go about feeding one,
other than an occasional treat to entice one for a portrait. The
scientists discovered the egg solution by trying several food items, all
refused until they poured an egg on the ground, and when it was cooked
by the sun the meerkats ate it. Then the researchers tried boiled eggs.
That worked!

How are you today, FTR? I hope your heat is working.

Betty formulated on Thursday :
Heat works good, sunny enough to lure one outside but cold enough to
send one right back in. :o)

I may venture out to the mail box, but that's it. It's cooler here this
morning, and I saw frigid up north, but maybe it will warm up. I saw
that you may get snow Sunday.

We should, but probably not much. It would be nice to get a little.

I saw sleet in the forecast for this area, but that has changed. I don't
think they know.

No, it isn't ... no fun either. I'm glad I am stocked up with food for a
few days, though I do run out of milk a lot. I need to live on a dairy farm.

What are you up to today, FTR? I hope you're feeling good.

Betty was thinking very hard :
Watching birds and the impeachment. Feeling okay. Feeling disgusted.

I am having to watch what I can find online regarding the impeachment. I
don't really know what's going on other than BS. What are you disgusted
with?

Betty formulated the question :
The stonewalling by the republicans being so blatant and yet it seems
to be working anyway.

I've been reading about it, and the ridiculous things that have taken
place. Some republicans are going along with the baloney just to keep
their jobs, which still depend on being reelected. I've seen so many
film clips of lawyers and politicians who have contradicted themselves
by making arguments opposite from past statements. It's sickening.

I watched one interview with Michael Moore last night and what he had to
say is scary. I don't always agree with him, but the interview was
interesting.

Betty explained on 1/31/2020 :
There are things I don't like about Michael Moore but I have to admit
he is an effective activist filmmaker.

Other than clips here and there, I haven't seen his films, but he is
good at what he does. I have seen many interviews with him, usually
plugging one of his films. Bill Maher has had him as a guest several times.

I wonder if that's on YT, I'll check. I think I may have watched that
show back when I had TV. It was on PBS, right? I guess I should check PBS!

HBO (or YT) doesn't let you see the full Bill Maher show now. YT
continues to change their format, and they continue to grab up shows and
charge for watching them.

Betty has brought this to us :
Yes, it is a PBS show. Some of them are really interesting, especially
if you are into genealogy.

I found a short clip on YT, then went to PBS. Found the show and the
episode, but they wouldn't let me watch. I then went to Wiki and read a
long article about Michael Moore. He has won all kinds of awards,
including the Academy Award. One of his documentary films holds the box
office record for money earned. Time magazine listed him as one of the
world's 100 most influential people.

I had watched that show several years ago and liked it. I'm not into
genealogy, but I knew some people who were.
