Ananda Insults America on July 4th

barbeque on July 4th. The culmination of this event will be readings by
P.G. Wodehouse.
Let me explain this slap in the face of America by this łspiritual˛
group.
First of all, and most obviously, P.G. Wodehouse is a British writer. So
having readings from a British writer on the day we celebrate our
Independence from British tyranny is, I think, an obvious enough slap on
the 4th. I mean, gee, if you wanted to have readings on this particular
day, why not try, umm... the Consitution? The Declaration of
Independence? Writings about Liberty and Freedom? ANYTHING from, like,
AMERICA?
But no - and it gets worse.
P.G. Wodehouse, in particular, of all the British writers to choose from
(given that you had decided to insult America on this day with a British
writer, that is), is notorious as a sympathizer with the Nazis during
World War II. He gave five radio broadcasts from Berlin which made light
of the Nazis, and joked about his time in camps, making the Nazis seem
like bumblers and common folk, instead of, like, say, murderers. In
addition, Wodehouse was afraid to return to Britain because of the rage
against him (he had been living in Paris when the Nazis marched into
town and snagged him). In fact, he lived out the war, Nazis and all, in
Paris, and then fled to America after the war.
Wodehouseąs apologists were many, basically because they liked the guy,
so therefore, by definition, he couldnąt be a Nazi supporter - even
though he supported the Nazis. Go figure. None less than Joseph
Goebbels, the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, approved the radio
broadcasts, so weąre not talking about something that hurt the Nazi
cause, or was just a little thing somewhere - this was BIG. And a LOT of
people were furious with him at the time and openly called him a
traitor. His excuse, and that of his apologists? Simply that he meant
nothing wrong, and he was politically naive. Oh, he could write
sophisticated humor about the British social class system, as seen
through the eyes of his dry-witted comedic butler creation, Jeeves. Yes,
with Jeeves, Wodehouseąs insight and wit was acclaimed as brilliant and
penetrating (which is why Ananda wants to do his readings). But even
after spending months in Nazi concentration camps, he couldnąt be
expected to figure out that the Nazis were evil, or that his own
countrymen were fighting and dying AT THE TIME to stop them from
destroying the world. Yeah, sure. This is ALSO like Anandaąs lame
excuses for hating America at this time. So maybe Wodehouse and Ananda
DO go together - they are both hypocritical apologists for murdering,
tyrannical regimes, all in the name of łsocial justice.˛
But letąs not get ahead of ourselves. Fast forward to 2003 at Ananda. On
the 4th of July - of ALL days - these spiritual, peaceful people pick
not just a British writer to read from, but one who, if not an outright
traitor, at the very least helped the Nazi war effort as an apologist.
THIS is what Ananda feels is appropriate for the 4th of July in America!
But hey, Wodehouse wrote funny stuff, and so itąs all for fun and humor,
right? Ha Ha. Um, I think not. I think thatąs just the thinnest possible
level of deniability, covering a very nasty, barely hidden insult to the
country that is providing these hypocritical jerks with refuge from
people like, oh, Saddam Hussein for example. (As an aside, a
contemporary of Wodehouse was actually hanged by the British for exactly
the type of thing Wodehouse did - broadcasting from Berlin for the
Nazis. His slang name was "Lord Haw Haw". So when Ananda says, hey, it's
just in fun - "ha ha" - remember Lord Haw Haw, hanged by the neck until
dead by the British in 1946 for treason. Very funny, eh?).
One wonders at the deeper meaning. Does Ananda, en mass, consider
themselves to be like Wodehouse, and are these readings like Wodehouseąs
broadcasts from Berlin? In that case, do they consider America to be
like Nazi Germany, and gee, President Bush to be equal to Hitler? Is
this their łpeaceful, spiritual˛ message? And being Bay Area
progressive, liberal, new age, spiritual exalted intellectuals, did they
figure everyone would simply be too stupid to figure out their nasty
little message to America on the 4th of July? Youąd have to come to the
Bay Area to realize that these are very real possibilities - the
liberals here are nothing but walking nostrils, their noses stick up so
high. Gassed Kurds, women shot in the back of the head in soccer
stadiums, and electrical torture devices in police stations mean
absolutely nothing to progressives - to them, the Afghanis and Iraqis
have not been freed from monsters. Instead, America has violated these
poor peopleąs countries and defied the world community to do so (even
though we were enforcing 18 UN directives that had been themselves
violated continuously over a decade, and doing it with the support of
łonly˛ forty other countries because the UN łHuman Rights˛ commission is
now occupied by representatives of the very countries that commit
torture, and so somehow, gee, wouldnąt vote to go after Afghanistan or
Iraq).
No, these peaceful people˛donąt remember˛ what happens when America
DOESNąT act, like in, say, Rwanda, where the Clinton Doctrine left the
UN alone to say łbe nice˛ while a million people were hacked to death
with machetes. But THAT doesnąt bother progressives a bit - after all,
gotta break a few eggs to make a socialist omelette, and all that. And
as for 9-11, gimme a break - those were EMPLOYED WHITE PEOPLE dying in
those buildings (any people of color who died no doubt being little more
than their flunky servants, after all they couldnąt have actually EARNED
their way into the Towers without some sort of government assistance or
affirmative action, right?). So who cares? Dead Americans equal social
justice to Bay Area progressives - just so long as THEYąRE safe. After
all, THEY are needed to łfacilitate˛ the One World That Is Coming In The
Name Of Peace OR ELSE.
Yogananda - the spiritual master the people at Ananda supposedly follow
- loved America very much, and called it the spiritual sister country
to India. So please donąt take Anandaąs actions on the 4th as in any way
supported by Yoganandaąs teachings. As well, India has recently joined
America in its rejection of the UNąs International Criminal Court as
being a violation of civil rights and due process of law. So remember,
Ananda doesnąt represent Yogananda NOR India with these nasty political
positions against freedom.
But stay tuned, folks. Iąm sure next yearąs Ananda 4th of July picnic
will feature readings from Hilters łMein Kampf˛ which he wrote in jail
about his struggles against łinjustice.˛

First and foremost Wodehouse is a classic author. The rest of this sad
little episode has long since passed into history. I doubt the
Mountain View community had even heard of it.
I mean, so he did agreed to do a few broadcasts while being held
prisoner (something which you skate over, choosing instead to make it
sound like the broadcasts were *his* idea!). Yes he was criticized for
it. Some even called for his head, comparing him, as you do, to Lord
Haw Haw. There were of course one or two essential differences between
the two. Wodehouse was a prisoner, Haw Haw was a free man and a Nazi,
who chose to broadcast for Nazi Germany. Wodehouse only did five banal
broadcasts, Haw Haw did them nightly for years. Not even comparable,
and it all happened 60 odd years ago. Besides, he became a US citizen
in 1955. Seems even McCarthy era America had no problem with him....

are so many mixed races there is rarely a pure type all are mixed and
race will soon be removed from questionaires.

phliphino jamacian has a new mix meaning nobody understands the
zazilions of faces except the beach blonde meaning a psychcological mess
never mentioned thenever ending stares of what that or whats that

The mexican has held out the longest but is again starting to mix once
perfect eyesight hair teeth backs and mentally low to no trouble just
dietary issues is starting to flaw also. The money issue as one who has
more has more and marriage is also all about money housing the
job......a low paying job is alost always a romantic death sentence.
If your 25 claim a restaurant job at mcdonalds or a bank tellers job
they pay the same youll get a longer converstaion interest as a bank
teller otherwise youll be refused.Most men will never find a woman and
most women will try once or twice at marriage qwit.......homosexuals are
easily 1/12 of the population and most children today accept it since
Clinton the military the new laws. In schools 1/3 have same sex
relationships the younger the higher i predict in less than a decade it
wont matter to kids at all.
Frankly the trouble started with high interest rates the working woman

These would be california schools and they push non discrimination
really hard as calif has a few different ports of entry a few borders
and is composed of the most mixs in races. Children hence get upset at
sexual discrimination taught at an early age that its ok normal healthy
and not to gay bash pick fights but accept it completely and they do.
They have sperm banks fertility clinics many kids have different
parential backgrounds some are raised in gay or lesbian families out

Granted - the USA is doing more damage to the planet, per capita, than
any other country, and its governments seem unable/unwilling to do
anything about it. (See George W Bush's refusal to co-operate with
Europe in pollution-control by pulling out of Kyoto Agreement. Global
warming does threaten to wipe out millions of helpless people - and
perhaps the entire planet, but US government seems powerless to take a
stand, because of the influence of money-hungry businesses, and the
apathetic populace.
Believe it or not, I actually sympathise with your views. I think that
part of the cause is that most Americans (with the help of Hollywood)
have brainwashed themselves into believing they are somehow God's
chosen race (land of the brave, home of the free, God bless America,
and all that stuff) and think they can't do anything wrong. And when
they *do* do something wrong, they can't see it - or it doesn't seem
to reach public awareness - or Hollywood produces a few movies to tell
the people what they want to believe - not the real truth. Take war
crimes in Viet Nam for example; Hollywood pumps out a few "Rambo"
style movies, painting the Americans as the good guys and the North

Well, I gotta hand it to you: you certainly aren't ashamed to speak
out about your own country's shortcomings (assuming the USA *is* your
country, that is). Not many Americans do - mainly because most are too
ignorant or to know what actually goes on, and why.
As for the idea that the British are smarter, financially (or smarter
in any way for that matter), I'm not at all convinced... If they are
so smart, how come their standard of living in the UK isn't as high as
in the USA (let's ignore the fact that they enjoy free health care for
now!)? OK, maybe it is due to the economies of scale that America
enjoys due to its size, and also its vast wealth of natural resources.
BTW, while we are on the subject of America's shortcomings, you forgot
to mention the archaic injustice system! I heard a lawyer say on TV
recently that American law is based on English (British) Law, as it
was in the colonial days, (pre-revolution) - but that, since then,
Britain has refined it's justice system, whereas America hasn't!

of vast areas of america were signed away to older wealthier countries
families banking orgs and they live very well have for generations and
generations to come off of the mining mineral rights which they pay next
