Hi all,

A little break from the intensity :-)

I took a bike ride about 10 minutes from from where I am staying;
carried my bike 50 or so feet off the road and laid it behind a large
rock. After about 10-15 minutes climbing up the rocks I shot these
photos on the the plateau. I didn't encounter a mountain lion, rattle
snake or even a scorpion. Darn! I had to settle for a golden eagle
soaring in the wind currents 20-30 feet above me; with a 360 degree
view of some of the most inhospitable, dangerous and beautiful scenery
on earth.

Needless to say I was terrified and delighted :-) In equal measure...

About 400 miles or 6+ hours by car :-)
