I've had blackberry pie twice and just did not care for it at all.
Make it black raspberry and I love it...

Just got done making a flan too....take vanilla pudding the kind you
have to cook.....let it cool slightly...pour into the flan, set in
fridge til totally set...open a can of cherry pie filling and put on
top of the cake...this is really good...and the canned fruit you can
use anyone you choose..we like cherry the best..if you dont have a
flan pan,you can buy a flan already made up in the bakery section of
your store....its quick and easy, and great in the summertime

here is a picture of my flan pan....you don't put much cake batter in
it because the center is raised up after the cake cools that is where
the vanilla pudding goes...in the center....then the cherries....now
get to the store and bake a flan LOL

Flan is also very popular as dessert in Mexican restaurants.

pie.

As a child we picked wild blackberries and any other wild fruit we
could.
Strawberries, elderberries, cherries, apples, blueberries ~~ you name
it, we picked it.
My mom would can them, and also make preserves for canning.
We had a walk-in pantry and enjoyed cobblers and pies all winter.
