I'm writing a column for an entertainment publication. I'm looking to learn
what celebrities are coming to South Florida and who might be available for
interviews.
I have done searches on: press agents, public relations firms, entertainment
agencies, publicity agencies, journalism resources, movie production companies,
et al.
After three hours, I have come up empty. Are there any journalists in here
with ideas? Any and ALL help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Phyllis
Enjoy what you're doing and you'll never work a day in your life.
Also, check with your local Florida Motion Picture Commission. These
people work to get films shot in the state and also can give you info on
which stars will be in town, even if only for a few hours.
For other visits, often your local Chamber of Commerce will have info on
visiting celebs. Also, you State Fair Commission will give you info
about fair-time performers.
Other sources: Local universities for lecture series; local opera,
theatre and symphony groups for visiting performers; NASA for the space
center, Disney for Disneyland.
Hmm, bet that keeps you busy!
