Hi All:
There is a wonderful program out there that will help you write perfect
stories providing you want to spend the time learning the program. It has a
very long learning curve. When you use the program it helps you organize all
facets of your stories. Whether it's a Short Story, Novel, Screenplay, or
none of the above, just general writing this program is excellent.
It's called "DRAMATICA PRO 4.0". However, I will warn you it is NOT a cheap
program, but if you're a student at a college or university you can get a
copy for around $100.00 providing you have proof of your attendance to said
higher-education. Faculty and Staff can get the discounts as well. Otherwise
it will cost you almost $300.00. It's published by Write Brothers, Inc I
happened to find a copy of the program at Microcenter Computer stores it was
marked down and on their sale rack, with a further 70% discount becuse it
was on clearance and I picked it up for about $124.00. If you want to try
the program out before you spend the money, you can download a fully
functional Demo Program, but the Save, Printing, and Report features are
disabled.You can download it at www.write-bros.com .
They do offer as well, a scaled down version, called "Writer's Dreamkit,"
for a much lower price ($59.95). It's a beginners version step-by-step
fiction writing system as well. All their programs are available for demo
with the most important features disabled, as mentioned above. This program
and many others published by them are advertised in Writers Digest Magazine
frequently. Try it out and you will find it fascinating. But the big
learning curb may be a hinderence, but learning it will be well worth it.
YOU DO have to change the way you think about writing stories though, there
is a different paradigm in story construction that this program uses
exclusively, but working with it for the past 6 months has gained my respect
for the writing art. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to
