Can think of 3 people who Swoop could be...
1 : Scots git 1
2 : Scots git 2
3 : Someone who uses yabwhit as an anagram of a certain place.

1 : Don't think so....hasn't really got the brains, unless in collusion
with 2.
2 : Possible.....doesn't like 3 and could be using yabwhit
as a pointer and leading us to think it's 3.

Laugh all you like at my technical knowledge. If I were stupid enough
as to prove some of the things I claim to have done that would give
people evidence to have me "banged up" by the law so I'm not going to,
simple!

As for peotry, are you saying you now doubt I like to read peotry too?
I don't claim to be a poet by any means, but I do love a good poem.
Does that make me a bad person? If so then explain why.

You don't allow me anything, it is not your place to give permission
for me to do anything. If you don't like what I do then ignore me, it
doesn't cost you anything. If on the other hand you want to take me on
then more fool you.

Most that have got to know me know why I act like that and are helping
me to change. I tihnk the "most" you're talking about are your
imaginary friends.

I'm not going to involve myself in any arguments / flames / whatever
that you have with Magic.
You two can sort it out sometime, someday.
I would like to say....and I'm gonna say it.....
Conversations between Magic and I have always been friendly.
He has helped me out on the techy stuff at times.
I class him as a friend.

You never actually said that Swoop and Ray are the one and same !!!

Now why don't you have a nice cup of tea, if you don't normally take sugar,
put two lumps in this time; it has a calming effect. After a couple of sips,
look back on the previous posts and reflect. For example you say "attack me
and I'll attack you", show me one instance of my attacking you prior to your
getting nasty.

Now Magic lets be honest, your not a fool and you are I am sure capable of
objectively over-viewing a given situation, you started on me first for not
declaring my identity, that is my privilege and that is no reason for you to
go ape shit. Keith took a different tact, he was more positive, he hazarded
a guess, he was correct and I acknowledged him so ( that is my policy now)
You however became insulting and I reacted with a slightly "snidey" return.
I think we best put it behind us and seek further ways of tilting on
occasions in the future ( I enjoy the occasional tilt as much as anybody)

Your correct I have no means of knowing your technical ability and I take
back what I said about your poetry likes. I have enjoyed in the past some of
your publishing's. Lets both live to fight another day, this one is not
worth continuing.

Ok, I might be wrong on this, my only defense is that with so many
people using so many different names it's easy to get confused over
who is who. I assumed you were the same person that always attacks me
over my assumed lack of knowledge with regard to hacking - port
sniffing etc. If those assumptions are wrong then I apologise.

The problem I have is that my technical knowledge is the only thing I
really had for most of my life, and so when people attack it I get
over sensative and turn nasty. I'm sorry I caused offence to you over
this, and believe me I am trying to change.

Ok, point taken.

I do feel I ought to clarify my knowledge though, as you seem to have
me pegged as some kind of "techie wannabe"....

Yes, I used to be into hacking when at school and college. I had a
reputation for it as being very good at it, plus I never got caught.
Now I've wised up and realise how stupid it was. I've been out of it
so long now that if you gave me an axe I probably wouldn't know which
end to use to chop down a tree, but I still know enough of the basics
to scare the cluebies off and to set up some protection against the
majority of the people who think downloading "toolz" like WinNuke
makes them a threat to national security.

I do still program to what could be considered a high standard in
several languages, and know a lot about computers in general as many
will tell you, but I no longer "hack" systems. Those that do I regard
as intellegent but lacking common sense. I do however port sniff a
machine after asking permission before hand to assertain if the person
is running a firewall and if so if it has been set up corectly. Most
people shouldn't really need more than this on their machine unless
they store really sensative information on there, plus I like to keep
informed about security issues with regard to systems etc. - essential
for somebody who wants a career in computing.

I know I over react and I like to scare off the cluebies with the
tales of what I once was.... but I don't agree that necessarily means
I have dillusions of grandure or that I'm thick.

Point taken too. I am mainly using two identities at the present time, Swoop
and Aphoristic. As shown in my reply to Keith/Rocky I am always prepared to
acknowledge if its me, if asked by certain folk, who's are names well known
to those who have posted for some time. If you had asked direct I would have
replied truthfully. Anyway if you see me on line in any of these two names
or any other you think is me, I'd love you to test my firewall.
