Maybe you'll listen to someone who's honest about things?

You see, Nancy, you broke a cardinal rule. You posted an email here, in
Usenet, for all to see, and you did it _out of context_. But you knew that,
didn't you?

Isn't it you and your Tower friends who have cried the blues for oh so long
now about others posting and re-posting emails and posts as some kind of
"proof" and doing it totally out of context? Don't deny it, because you know
it's true. I'm sure Freida knows what I mean.

Shall we put your wimpy troll post into context for everyone? Yes, let's do!

First, someone named Argus posted in Robin-of-lox's club group asking how to
ban a Rogers user from a Club group. Then, you posted, in your infinite
wisdom, that Rogers people cannot post in alt.discuss club groups. Shall I
quote you? I can.

Then "Just" posted behind you. No reference to you, no sarcasm whatsoever.
Now, "Just" is much more experienced in these matters than you -- including
how to behave in a newsgroup. She posted the correct information on how to
ban a Rogers user from Club groups.

I'll quote her, because her information is correct, and may be of help to
some here:

"You have to put in the full name, just as you would if someone was
posting with a Hotmail or MSN addy. It's only Webtv names that you can just
put in without the "@webtv.net."

Make sure you mark down the name correctly since cc'p doesn't always
take in the system."

Next, she made a short post to you. Again, nothing inflamatory or snide
about it. I quote:

"Rogers interactive people have been able to post in the club groups for
many, many months. I've seen them in a few help club groups for a long
time. They are even able to create club groups from what I heard."

Now, you addressed her back, and while your post was not inflammatory or
otherwise improper in and of itself, you chose to alter the subject line to
address it not to "Just" but to "Sandy."

And that is what prompted her email, which you posted here. Did you think it
was proper of you to address a poster known to the group you and she were
posting in by another name than that she chose to use in that group?

Perhaps you do. But she didn't, and she called you on it. She could have
made an issue of in in public, in the group. But she has more class than
that. She addressed you privately, in email -- the accepted method to keep
from disrupting a group

It looks quite like you were hoping she would make a public issue of it,
doesn't it? Were you trolling her by any chance? Were you hoping that she
would make a fool of herself in front of Robin and the members of her group?
It didn't work, did it?

So you then decided to post the email in no fewer than 5 newsgroups, 2 of
them (that I know of) Usenet groups. In so doing you exposed her email
address, as well as Robin's, to bots that harvest email addresses for SPAM.
You're more than welcome to do that with your own email address. But you
should know better than that when it comes to others'. Don't you think?

Whether what you did was against any MSNTV policies or not remains to be
seen. But morally and ethically, you certainly sank to an abyss of decorum
and decency.

And you did it _out of context_. Shame on you.

It certainly proves who the troll is here, and it isn't Sandy, now is it?
