Greetings,
New here, so if I'm in the wrong place, my apologies.
Had to replace some stained "gunstock" oak flooring near some french
doors. The new wood stands out dramatically against the neighboring
boards which have been faded after 6 years exposed to the sun.
Any hints as to how to "fade" the new boards to match the older one.
BTW, they are solid Bruce flooring with some kind of (Poly) coating.
Many thanks, T

The simple answer is, wait six years. Not trying to be a wise guy, but
there really is not a good way to have your flooring age, because it is
already finished and you cannot get to the wood. Even if you were willing
to strip the factory finish, (not the wisest of choices btw ) the chances
getting a color match is very small.

So, just be patient.

Thanks, I feared as much. An alternative, which my wife is offering,
is to have new flooring laid down to match the "repair." Mucho dinero,
but the patch really stands out.
Again, thanks T
