Hi,

Is it problematic to finish vertical surfaces? I only have experience
with horizontal surfaces. I'm worried about streaks, unevenness at the
top vs at the bottom etc.

Thanks!

Aaron Fude.

Try thinning the poly. This allows you to apply a much thinner coat so
there will be less chance of runs. IMHO projects look better with thinner
coats applied more times, LIGHT sanding & tack-ragging in between each coat.

With oil-based poly I usually thin with paint thinner - 2/3 poly to 1/3
thinner or there abouts, we aint makin watches here.

I've never used water-based poly, too new fangled for me. I just don't get
how water and wood can go together and produce good result. Anyway, maybe
someone else has some advise if yer using water-based poly.

good luck
Daniel
