Hi there,

I was just wondering what non-denominational pagans, that is
individuals who practise pre-Christian European Paganism, in its paleo
and/or neo forms, but who do not self-identify with any current
denomination such as Wicca, Druidity, Astaru, Stregheria, ect;
typically refer to themselves as in terms of a label?.
Also, which of the Sabbats could arguably be considered
"pan-pagan" and not just specifically Wiccan?.

Thank you!

Pagans.

None. Sabbats are wiccan by definition. Generally speaking, pre-christian
european pagans were not heavily into astronomical events.

Hi Giovanna,

Thank you for your reply. I thought the term "Pagan" was widely
regarded as being a negative connotation
by most Pagans, as I believe I am correct in stating that it was a
label historically used by Christians to
describe the religious practitioners of pre-Christian Europe in a
pejorative sense?.

Also, do non-denominational Pagans not observe any holidays or have
any rituals per se?.

PS: May I ask what you consider yourself in terms of a religious
affiliation?.

What may have been pejorative two thousand years ago is certainly not so
now.

Whatever suits them. Most pagans are non-denominational. Different
deities may have different days associated with them. Formalised ritual
is not really a feature of paganism. Leaving offerings at shrines ...
flowers, food, candles, incense, prayer ... is rather more typical.

I tend not to label myself, or others. I am not sure that affiliations
are necessary. I would rather just be me.
