These newsgroups are for public postings, not your own private
personal tech support. I usually respond both in the newsgroup and by
email, but in your case I'm going to reply ONLY in the newsgroup. That
strikes me as being the appropriate response to your selfish request.

If you want high-color icons without MS Plus!, download and install
the self-extracting executable W95GRAY.EXE. It'll give you all the
features of the Plus! tab, including high-color icons ("show icons
using all possible colors"):

If you wish to create your own icons, use MS Paint or better yet, an
icon editor such as Microangelo:
