Hi,

I want to know if there is an easy way to submit my web pages to search
engines. I tried Submit-it and Add-me, but they still are time consuming,
and they charge $$ for large submissions.

I write pages for myself and friends, and I wish there was a site that
submitted them automatically in one step.

Thanks,

NM

If it's real easy and/or real cheap, it ain't worth it.
For information on Search Engines and promoting your website
I recommend that you read this article:

You can also do your submissions and read reviews of the
specific search engines by using the

I'm not sure what the exact statistics are but something like 95% of all
searches go to about a half dozen of the major search engines. If you
manually submit your site to them that should be plenty. In my not so
humble opinion, submitting to 100, 200 or more "search engines" is a
waste of time (and money if you pay for it).

Don't forget, you may also use the META tags. Go to:

for additional information on HTML.

Hope this helps.

I use Web Promotion Spider. It submits to 400 search engines. Most of your
hits will come from the main sites like Yahoo, Excite, etc, but the more
you can submit to, the better, especially if it is just as easy. WPS is
very, very easy. It also analyzes your position after you have been indexed
by the engines.

Go to the Wolf Software site. They have a great little program called
SUBMIT WOLF. You enter your data, and run the program, and it AUTOMATICALLY
submits your site to about 100 different search engines

Yeah! And we all know how well those services work. I suggest
that anybody wanting there site to be more visible, do the research,
don't be lazy. Learn what online marketing is, learn how to use
propaganda, learn how to effectively get yourself listed on the search
engines that count. Learn learn learn. Don't go for the 'easy' way
out, because it almost never works.

>professionally designed web site starting at $25

Yeah, and thats about how much money I'd probably make off of
it too. Does xoom permit commercial pages? Hmmm...

yeah, and what will you get out of the lost money?

I would do it individually, most wizards and services have inconsistancies being
that the search engines are so different.

like Yahoo! it took me 4 times to get listed there, so their ppl don't have too
many crappy pages listed.

he's right. It took me now over a year and a half to get those 131k hits that I
have.

Note the "starting at". I mean I know the more space the more $, but some of
these just plain rip you off. (most actually)

Yes you forgot to upload the images to your web page. The graphics
are viewe on your computer because they are on your computer. If you
can, find them on your computer and delete them and you will not be able
to view them also. I am not farmilar with Adobe Page Mill, but you
might try it again to upload, this time make sure that the graphic files
are also included with the upload. Make a list, write it down and
check it off one by one, hope this helps.
