How do you remove the icons from the status bar at the bottom right?
I don't use the "Task Scheduler" but the icon is there.
Also I would like to remove the PCMCIA icon.
Anyone help? Thanks.

If you have the PCMCIA icon is because you had used a PCMCIA device. To
disable that (which in the same way will disable the autodectection for
any PCMCIA devices such as modems and nic cards)right click on "My
Computer" | Device Manager | Select PCMCIA | Properties | Place a
checkmark on "Remove all hardware profiles".

For the Task Scheduler you may check in Start|Programs|Startup
Win.ini .. run= load= entries
System.ini .. after [enh386] entry
In the registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceServices
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
