Whenever I connect to the internet through my modem, it dials my ISP,
connects and starts to check my user name and password, it then either
disconnects from the ISP or gives me an error message stating that my
server types (for dial up networking) is wrong.

I spent 3 hours last night with my ISP technicians trying to sort it
out, but to no avail. The best I got was that some of my drivers (for
the modem or dial up networking) are corrupted.

I tried to reinstall all the software and drivers for everything, but it
still gives the same errors. I know that the modem is working as I tryed
it out on another computer.

I am asuming it is the driver files, but I don't know what to delete or
replace, I have tried to reinstall win95b over the top, but the error
reamins

PLEASE if anyone has any ideas about this please email me on
acava...@botany.uq.edu.au as I can not check the newsgroup often from
work and I really need a fix for this solution.

make sure all you have bound to the dialup adapter is TCP/IP and not
netbui or any other protocols. do this in both control panel network, and
the connectoid settings for your dun connection

what do you show for "Type of Dial-up Servers" on the Server Type tab, in
the properties of your dial-up icon?
