My computer keeps trying to download & install sp3. It fails reach time
because I do not have Office 2002 installed! I have Office 2000 and am not
interested in upgrading any higher because it does all that I need. Also of
course because of the cost.
Is there any way I can stop this Da...d interference from Microsoft? I
thought that it scanned what progs I have using and decided on that what
updates and/or other items I need.
It also keeps trying to update Office 2002 Outlook every time I sync my PDA.
Please help.

SP3? I think you meen SP2.
ok, you need to go into the "Control Panel"(Start/Control Panel), Now go
into "Security Centre" (Looks like a coloured shield) And turn off
"Automatic Updates". This should stop all auto updates dealing with
Microsoft programs, don't quote me on it though.. Hope this is of help.
