Hello All!!

I have a small problem with Windows for Worgroups 3.11 at
my work.
People working in the shift at the factory share the same
PC with other people in other shifts. When you start WfW
to connect to the LAN in the logon dialog box the name is
displayed of the last user. The factory people don't look
at the name displayed and just start entering their pass-
word which naturally does not work with the wrong userid.
They often try this three times until they take a closer
look at the dialog box and realize they are trying it with
the wrong user id.
This results often in the other person being violated and
therefor unable to log onto the LAN.

Can I make it happen that there is no user id in the logon
dialog box in WfW 3.11? So it is always blank after starting
or logging off WfW 3.11!

I know the name is stored under [network] in the system.ini
and I could write a bat file to get rid of it but I just wondered
if there is not a more beautiful way to solve this problem?

Simple Way: Manually edit/delete what you don't want from the
SYSTEM.INI file, save it, then using the properties selection from
the FILE selection, make SYSTEM.INI "Read-Only". Keeps anything else
from being written to it until it is "Read/Write" enabled.
