XiG CDE on modern Linux system

Hi all. I'm trying to get CDE to work on my Arch Linux box. I've got
the installation of XiG CDE for Linux, but it doesn't seem to work.
It creates a bunch of files full of garbage in the root directory.
Some directories are begin created in /usr/dt, but they are empty.

Anyone got CDE to work on modern Linux system?
