I have a relatively new printer HP photosmart 7960, and i have a huge problem with it.
It want print documents or pictures that i choose, but i just get a blank peace of paper. i thought that the printer is gone.but......
the level of ink is at its almost full, and when i start one of the programs from the printers software (clean the heads, centering the articles, see if all the colors are displayed coretly...and so on), it all WORKS.
So i came to the conclusion that somwhere in the link between printer and my computer(relativly new dual core Pentium with 2 GB RAM, and running on XP.
My question is? Does anybody know what am i talking about(maybe you have a simillar problem yourself), and how to print like a normal human been?

P.S. - I have all the latest drivers, and interesting anough the printer work just fine on my stepfathers Macintosh, and a friends laptop.

If i asked this question on a wtrong place, please redirect me to the real stuff.
Thank u all very much.

Before you try anything, do this first: uninstall all the printer's
software and drivers; remove the printer from the printer list; shutdown
your system and unplug the printer cable. Find the user manual. Open to
the section about setting up your printer and installing the software.
Follow the instructions EXACTLY.

If the printer still doesn't work, get back to us.

In article <2887391.684.1334608570761.JavaMail.geo-discussion-

Most printer come with some self diagostic
programs, that realaign the printer heads,
and or clean them. I would not uninstall
the software that came with it first as
suggested. Also HP has a sight, with a
user forum, plus if you bought it within a
year, you most likely have free support.
I do not know HP's policy, they may give you
support no matter how long you have owned it.

Just another thought that came to me while typing
this was that there may be an HP group you can subscribe
to, using whatever you are using to post your question with.
