Sure is going to be an interesting one! :-)

Even more so when we actually get to 2008! :-)

I know it's very early and a lot can happen between now and when the
2008 election really starts with the first primaries and caucus's, but
right now I'm supporting Rudy, who do you guys and gals support at
this time?

Jon

PS Personally I think that 6 months before election day there should
be "Primary Day" to determine the candidates, then let them slug it
out in "arena of ideas", and may the best candidate be elected!

Hillary for Prez, Obama for Vice Prez.

And I think there should be a national primary day so that no state
can unduly influence the outcome. Six months before the general
election sounds good to me, maybe even a shorter period of time, say
maybe three or four months. And a cap on spending and a cap on
donations.

You make some good points Richard, except, I think they should ban all
states from having a primary for presidential candidates.
No campaigning until the labor day before the election.
All should have the same amount of money and get rid of the way money buys
elections...

Personally I have no problems with who donates whatever amount to
candidates, but with that we need 100% disclosure within a matter of
hours, if not minutes, of the donations. And that disclosure
shouldn't just be by the candidates, but by those that donate as well,
be it a corporation, Bill Gates, or me and you.

Plain and simple you donate, you accept a donation, you report it! No
accounting tricks on how and where the money came from!

Agreed. Some of them sit there with a nice little slush fund after the
election. Politics pays!

Democrats will help the people, once they are back in full control.
