Hi all,

Does anyone have any creative ideas for reception invitation wording? We
would like to invite numerous co-workers to the dance only yet would like
the invitations to be as classy as possible.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The invitation to the reception should mirror the wedding invitation.

For example, if the bride's parents issue the wedding invitation, the
reception invitation would look like this:

Mr. and Mrs. John James Mitchell
request the pleasure of your company
at the wedding reception
of their daughter
Hazel Anne
and
Mr. George David Jones
Saturday, the fifth of August
at four o'clock
Hampton Bay Yacht Club
31 Shore Line Drive
Hampton Bay

Hope this helps.

After working on this for an hour, this is what my mother and I came
up with for mine:

Bride
and
Groom
together with their parents
Dad & Mom Bride
and
Dad & Mom Groom
invite you to join them
in celebrating their marriage
at a wedding reception being held
on Saturday, September 20, 1997
at 8:30 in the evening.
Bismarck Municipal Country Club
Address
Bismarck, North Dakota

The beginning part (bride & groom, together w/their parents, etc.)
mirrors the wedding invitation only because we're hosting it
ourselves.

From ancient grudge, break to new mutiny
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

A pair of star cross'd lovers take their life."
