We are considering a destination wedding in Scotland, but we need some
info. We tried the number to Dallas based "Far Away Weddings" (I think
that was the name) but the 800 number was disconnected.
Is anyone familiar with this company?
Are they out of business?
Do you know of any similar companies (a wedding planner who specializes
in overseas weddings)?
We may resort to contacting Scottish hotels directly but phone calls from
Detroit to Scotland can get pricey so we would like to try US based
planners first. If any one could give us any information, advice or
contacts we would appreciate it.

Thanks

Last year we spent 2 months in Scotland, St. Andrews in particular. Once
a week at the St. Andrews Golf Hotel, they held a Ceili (sp?) which
focused on local talent. It was so much fun, we went twice. Each time
there was a couple who had just got married and who led a dance. I'm
not sure if the Golf Hotel sponsers this but I wouldn't be surprised.
There are few places lovlier than St. Andrews, a charming medieval town
on the North Sea. Don't be put off by the Golf Hotel..it's a charming
older hotel looking over the North Sea. This might be a possibility for
you both.
