Oil Portraits - Engagement or Wedding!

What a great gift or heirloom!
I am a freelance illustrator and painter, as well as an upcoming bride,
and will be painting my own engagement portrait for our invitations. It
just occurred to me that other couples would surely love this opportunity
as well!

Back before photography, it was standard for a couple to have an
engagement portrait done (in fact, there's one still on the wall in ancient
Pompeii!).
I paint in a very classical style, using oil glazes and subtle textures,
lighting, and symbolism. I can work from photographs, or set up a photo
shoot here in my studio in New York. The size and shape can range - oval
to square; small to 24"x36" or larger. Please email me with questions or
