laptop problem, help appreciated

ok i have a small lappy with ubuntu on it. i want to put xp on it but it has
no cd drive. have made a usb stick with the image on and it goes through the
installation until it gets to the select what partition to instal. Then it
wont see the ubuntu drive. ok question is how do i get the ubuntu drive
formatted into a format that windoze will recognise so i can install xp

any help appreciated

When you get to which partition option, format the whole disk, and
select to install on unpartitioned space. Windows will create a
Partition. Choose NTFS.

You will lose all Data when you format, so back up any docs, pictures or
porn you don't want to lose.

tried that windoze does not see the ubuntu partition at all just the usb
stick so i cant reformat that waY :(

Get hold of boot cd 10 and create a bootable usb stick with that and
using any of the partiton tools to delete your ubantu drive so windows
setup can see the drive/partition.

Go into the Laptops Bios & change the HDD from SATA to compatible mode -
XP won't see a modern HDD without a driver ??
