Q: Just what is the Quake Shareware CD Unlock Key Generator?
A: Basically It's a little program that generates a response code for
use in
unlocking Test-Drive products (and the Quake Shareware CD in
particular),
that way you can play test the FULL versions of all the software on
the CD.

Q: Ok, I've got the thing, now how do I use it?
A: That's perhaps the #1 question being asked (after "Does it really
work?")
by people, so here's what you do:

1. Install the Quake Shareware CD in Windows 95 as normal. Then run
the
Quake Start program.

2. Choose Unlock Quake (Or any of the other products on the CD) and
proceed
until you are given a Challenge Code which will be in the form of:
Q## ### ### ###

3. Place the QCRACK.EXE program into your C:\IDSTUFF directory.

4. Run the QCRACK.EXE program with the Challenge code as the first
parameter.

Example: Challenge Code: Q23 349 539 202
You use : QCRACK Q23349539202

5. The program will give you the unlock key which you must enter into
the
space provided by the Quake Unlock program. Press OK to get the
full
version of the game!

Q: Have there been any problems with the crack?
A: Only a minor one, to unlock Final Doom, you must use a slightly
different
set of parameters. An Example follows:

Use: QCRACK -g finaldos Q########### to unlock Final Doom.

Q: So how do I use this from DOS, OS/2, Linux?
A: You don't, sorry.
