It may be wise to wait it out and see how much the other goes for
first. Usually the bidding picks up at the end and then again it may
not. It could go for $100.00 one day and $10.00 the next. I usually
frequent the SW radio and Knife pages. Its how I came across this.
There are appraisal services but I have no experience with them.
Good Luck

There are several others out there doing the same thing, but you get

Put up by Veteran Jim Henthorn, a clickable version of this same
series of maps is online on

http://www.nexus.net/~911gfx/sea-ao.html

The work that must have gone into this page is amazing. Here is my
public thanks to Jim Henthorn for having done this project. The maps
are clickable right down to village level. Click on that corner of
northwestern Laos on this page to see detail for the map listed above.

Patrick and Slowboy, most of those Vietnam maps can still be
purchased from the U.S. Government. They cost $ 7.00 plus
a one time $ 5.00 for the government interns to get it off of the
shelf.

If you have the map number, I will check to see if they have the
map you see on that ebay auction.

I got all the maps I need thanks. I saw one listed once that was
masterful at madison avenue tactics and fell for it. I actually
thought it was the green line map for Goi Noi island. You know, the
one Joanie Mitchell wrote about, "putting up a parking lot". Paid $8
plus set shipping fee for a hewlett packard printout of a jpg I
already had the real mccoy. Got suckered, but it is the only time on
ebay.

I am a great fan of reading the small print. Some of these guys are
eeking out a living with this stuff, as long as I know I am getting
the straight skinny, I don't mind playing the game.

By the way, keep your kids away from Goi Noi Island, if the commies
ever get kicked out of Nam, it will begin there me thinks.

Thanks Patrick. I'm not interested in buying any, especially not reproductions.
I was just wondering how much mine might be worth. I'm not selling either. All
the stuff I've saved is going to my grandsons. I've still got one of my old
original issue tiger striped flight suits from '65. I've had a couple of guys
salivating over that too but it's not going anywhere.

I got a load of them and EXPLODED ! All b&w.
Well I told those people I needed the color one for
my VA case, got it free.
The b&w were 1939 French Foreign Legion.
You mite say I seen a few border lines not in the same place.
Ben Het was in Laos....way in Laos.
Interesting.....to see how the trails changed and all.

Now that is interesting indeedy. I have an aquaintance writing a book

happened there that is being covered up big time. I will see if I can
find his web site.

I would like to send this to him in any case. He probably has some
information collected that may help out more than a few Marines who
are surfacing with the same damn problem.

I tried to get that Bill Langston drunk in a Marine bar in San Diego
so he could tell me the straight scoop, and he wouldn't budge. A
couple of young jars came in and when they called him Sir, he got all
patriotic on me.

Yes, Just ask for your AO and you need them for VA reasons.
I wanted only the Tri - Border. They sent 8 or 9 b & w.
2' x 3' ? I wanted a lake, but since they were b&w
they sent anything with water and they circled the waters.
They are nice in they show unused trail, village, 2 buildings
paddy/w water, no water.....on and on.

To ALL, if you want anything using FOIA, just say VA.
No charge.

Now also you know there were two SR -71s flying,
that and there was a sat. over the borders. How to get
a real time photo of EXACTLY where...now presents
a problem. You need Gold Finger. Not really NASA
will get them if you have exact grid, but in your time
I see they changed. Again, say VA for free ones
I can not remember the Sats. name....
You need time, date and grid. It must be exact.

Certain engagements were photographed or movies
made for the Joints, the President and his cabinet.

I understand the ...? Russians will sell you real times.
A few Americans did get photos from them, see the US
is so super duper Secret squirrel stuff. NSA.

Hell, ask the Red Chinese, they sell Lungs, Hearts(fresh)
bet they will sell a map, photos..missiles..

That dang Bill L....

Patrick and Slowboy, I wish I could sell maps like that.

The most I ever paid for a map (different from what was
sold for $ 256.00) was $33.00. The one they sold is
out of my league.

Charles;
Do you have any idea what made those maps worth so much other than
someone was willing to spend that much? Did they have some intrinsic
value?
