I find him amusing. Is it really possible that somebody can be that
deluded?

"I would think that if you understood what communism was
you would hope, you would pray on your knees, that we
would someday become communists." - Jane Fonda, speaking
to a student audience at Michigan State University; as
quoted in the Detroit Free Press of November 22, 1970.
Still think that an insult specifically targeted at you is an insult
to ALL Vietnam Vets, Richard? Why is that? You can't stand on your own
and have to hide behind that cloak?
He states that the vast majority of Iraqi's support what they are doing and
are enjoying freedom, clean water, and not fearing for their lives or their
family when they leave their homes. He is suprised by all of the Negative
crap that the media is showing and they do not show the good they do. you
should see all of the pictures he has had taken with the friendly Iraqi
people.
Yes there are some that are home sick just as in peace time serving on base
away from family and friends it is human nature to miss home when you are
somewhere else, but the majority of our service men and women feel pride in
what they are doing and what they have accomplished. Do not take that away
from them buy bashing what they have done and bashing their commander and
chief. Did John Kerry and the DNC pay you to post this? Look here at your
heros record http://www.donbendell.com/ or
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnkerry.com/
You are making this a political statement at our soldiers expense so I must
respond in kind. Our soldiers are grown Men and Women and many have access
to the Net even from Iraq and can speak for themselves.
I am proud of them and our nation for all that they have accomplished!
And at least the Commander & Chief we have today isn't cutting their budget
like the last admin did where they had to take from 3 or 4 pieces of equipt
to make one piece of equipt work. He actally cares for them (unlike the last
C&C Clinton).
Thank you all in our nations service past & present. I am proud of you all.
You should be too.

No they were not. The intel agencies may have screwed up for the past
several years relying on technology rather than use humint but that has been
going on even in the last administration. For the record we used that intel
too to decide to go into Iraq.

Whatever the DNC tells you must be true.....NOT

Many understand that they are there for a just cause and many more approve
of what they are doing (the Iraqis do too) Al Quida does not want them there
and neither do you...hummm could there be a connection?
>
> Many military families do not want our troops there.
We miss and worry about them.....we did the same in the Civil War, WWI,
WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, and yes this one too.
>
> Many troops themselves do not want to be there.
I have only heard from the ones I know that are there and though they do not
love it there and would rather be home, they love doing their jobs and know
it is a just and noble cause. But yes they are getting tired and miss being
home. This is a great Country and thanks to them and those before them it
stays free. Who wouldn't rather be here?
>
> The overwhelming majority of Iraqis do not want US troops there.
NOT TRUE..... Only those that hate Westerners, Christains and Jews want us
out. When they have an established governing council and their own defense
set up to protect their new found freedom they would like us to leave, but
not until then...it would just end up in chaos with them fighting amoung
themselves. they need our protection until then.

Did you get that from CNN? Sounds like a line I heard on Ted Turners
station.

Only perceived as that by Al Quida and liberals here and abroad.
So are we if we act like we did before 9-11

Another BS line from the left

That is true with any war we have been in...thats a no brainer ... part of
being a soldier...what do you think the military's main job is? To put your
kid through college? Think again! That's your job not Uncle Sam's.

Well............Yeah! Duh!

There is...you just choose not to see it because it does not favor your
leftist ideas.

I am starting to wonder if you actually work for Al Jazeera
>

They are coming home but a total withdraw now would leave the world in a
very dangerous situation. I am glad you are not running the military......we
would be eliminated.
>
> Not one more troop killed in action.
We all wish and pray for that everyday....we all wish there were no "0"
casualties. Unfortunately in real war zones they use real ammo and you must
rely on your training and instinct to survive.
>
> Not one more troop wounded in action.
Same as above.
>
> Not one more troop psychologically damaged by the act of terrifying,
> humiliating, injuring or killing innocent people.
Do you think our soldiers are in kindergarten or something. They have been
trained to fight and survive. I hope you are not saying that our troops are
doing these things. Our troops do not kill, injure, humiliate, or do
intentional damage to innocent people!
You would have to be on the side of the enemy to acuse them of that.
>
> Not one more troop spending one more day inhaling depleted uranium.
>
WTF are you talking about? I thought there were no WMD over there? Who
dropped the bomb? CNN missed that report!
> Not one more troop separated from spouse and children.
Again...an unfortunate part of the job of being, or being married to a
soldier. None of us like that! Again..It's not college they sighned up for.
It is the US Military.
>
> This is the only way to truly support these troops, and the families

I say you find a flight and go over there and find out the facts before you
spread your BS.
Is this Jane Fonda or John Kerry? C'mon...be honest!
>
> Bush says "Bring 'em on."
Bush isn't a pussy that will sit back and take threats nor make them. He
means it when he says "We have had enough" we will not sit back and let
these people plan our elimination while we sit on our a$$es at StarBucks
drinking our $5 cups of coffee planning our next worthless protests against
nothing. (BTW: It isn't that great of a cup of coffee)
>
> We say "BRING THEM HOME NOW!"
They are doing the best they can. Rotations are taking place and hopefully
the Iraqi's can get it together by this summer and build their own defense,
hopefully we can bring them all home soon. I love em too.
Thanks to all Vets for affording me the freedoms I was born with and still
have today thanks to you!
Oh yeah... Thanks to all of you vets also for allowing this original liberal
that posted this thread his/her freedom to protest and bash our country and
military actions.
It's a great country isn't it!
God Bless all!

We are all proud of our troops and their families who are spending thousands
to buy equipment the government can't provide.
The current CIC, in his haste to stroke his personal agenda, sent our troops
off not fully equiped.
I do have two son-in-laws serving, so please explain, cause other than
some goodies, they tell me a different story, thing is I have their
units, locations and some of the guys here, help send care packages to
them during the "war" .
So if you will be tell me what they are lacking?
Ken
Ken, don't you read the news? I mean something besides Rush or Drudge.
Google up "troops forced to buy equipment" and see what families are doing
because the G'ment can't. Families are buying body armor, night vision
gogles and other stuff Dubya just can't seem to provide. The equipment is
available so that's not the problem.
Chas Hurst
With all due respect you're full of shit, I'm not one of these ass
hole posting shit.
I do have two son-in-laws over there, both btw for the second time,
both asked to go back, one Army, one Marines.
One was over here ( my House ) before going back ( the Marine ), if he
was needing or lacking anything I would have paid for it, he had NO
Need that weren't being addressed, and that shocked me, cause I
remember from my time in Nam, Marines got hand-me-downs from the Army.
Need to check this out ask the Yahoo Group, they made sure both kids
got care packages during the "War" part of Iraq.
Want to blast Bush go ahead, but be truthful.
If for any reason I though these kids where being short changed I'd
yell loud and long.
So read your shitty little newspaper, want it first hand ask someone
that's been there or has someone there, someone you know, someone
that'll tell the truth.
BTW - one kid in the 101st, other 1/10 Marines
I have the FPO/AE if you like hint : 09511/6500, check it out
PS - When they write and ask for stuff the list reads like what we
wanted in VN, socks, kool-aid, Cigarettes, face ( baby) wipes, Hot
sauce, hell you know the drill. So if you want to help write me I'll
give you addresses and you can ask questions and send a little
something.
Ken
BTW , Please don't insult my intelligence, I have NO Use for RUSH and
Duudge is dreaming he's a reporter, give me more credit than to stoop
that low.
Ken
I can only assume that you did not make a Google search. And with all due
respect, you are the crown prince of knee jerk Republican bimbos.
I support your kin and everyone in the service. You need to getchyer head
outcher ass.
Chas Hurst
Google's this Ass hole and a hardy Fuck you, as they say " The Truth,
The Truth, You Can't
Handle the Truth"
I used to have some respect for you, but you've showed that google's
is the truth and the facts are lies, you can throw your fucken
politics around that will never change the facts, pop a few more pills
and wash it down with some more cheap booze, you'll feel ( was going
to say better but, ) maybe you'll feel something.
I listened to about all your BS I intend to, post on cause your
Flushed with the rest of the shit.
BTW - I'm not a Republican, but I'm
sure that'll make no difference to you.

Thank you Don,
I'm sorry that the postings hit an all time low so fast, but I know my
"kids" truth, chas, knew the google "truth??".
I'm also sorry I lost it when given the facts &
his answer was I'm
" crown prince of knee jerk Republican bimbos ", I felt a strong
answer in reply was needed.
I respect each and everyone here that "tells it like it is ", but if
your here as a poser spreading manure, you'll be called on it, as we
have seen to other's that come here with their half truths and
outright lies.
Everyone here ( VN Vets, Rita, Donna and a few others ) have
earned the right to speak their mind Politically or otherwise, and do
so with the respect they deserve. But to come and post "trash" without
any facts because it suits you or your agenda, is wrong. If the post
is directed at my family, friends or me, get ready to do battle, cause
I won't stand still while you spew BS.
Soap Box pushed back under the table, Thanks for listening

Some surplus instruments from a friend who had an instrument shop for an Air
America C-45 supplied by Harry Geedes, he died last year at 85. Best
instrument repairman in the U.S.. I knew there was a reason why I joined
Army Aviation - better living conditions on the battle field. We even had a
washing machine that worked some times and taught the hooch girls how to use
it. The Vietnamese Catholic Church in Qui Nhon supplied a lot of help for
our unit and we frequently shared some of the food since they usually
brought their kids to work with them. After all you get tired of eating the
B-rations every you go cross country.
During war people will donate just about anything, the problem getting it to
Nam was effectively resolved since many of the Crew Chiefs had worked for
the airlines before being drafted or joining up, some of them were pilots as
well.
