An Hoa in Quang Nam Province was strategically selected by the Government of
South Vietnam to become an industrial complex. North Vietnam and the Viet Cong
determined to prevent any democratic or economic successess in the South. Allied
forces served as the deciding factor. Operation Macon was divided into three
phases with each succeeding phase expanding the success of the previous phase.
The Operation resulted in 380 enemy KIA versus 24 US KIA. An Hoa province became
the industrial district as planned. Your Service During this Operation Period
