My cousin just flew in via Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to
O'Hare then to Dallas on a visit. Being a Pakistani citizen, he was
given a thorough interview, which I guess is the norm these days. The
process took mor than 6 hours. he said that there was a backlog of
people, a couple in wheelchairs, immig. computer outages, noting of
personal credit card information, and irreverent immigration people.
With the present times, lets say thats fine.

My concern is that my wife and kids are arriving to Dallas via
Houston, she is on an H4, with her elder parents (visit visa). A six
to seven hour wait would be quite taxing. Is Houston any less rougher
on the time delays? A couple of hours can be tolerable, but six to
seven is quite high by any normal standard. (Maybe these are not
normal times...)

Any experiences

Nice try Hindu. Try asking this of your fellow Hindu Chamar a real machod
named Kooly. Kooly gets a body cavity search everytime and he really enjoys
it.

O -- this is your brain
. -- this is your brain on Hinduism

Any questions?

In my experience, two hour would be pretty normal - when NOT being
interviewed specially. So my guess would be, if they get picked out for
interview, don't expect that to happen in two hours.

At Dulles, I've never waited under 1 hour in line, but nor more than 2.5
hours.

Dulles is a mismanaged mess of a port.
The lines there are known to back up. Sometimes the citizen line even
goes slower than the non-citizen line.

As for the question about the
wife, kids, parents, and the six hour wait. Just because you were
selected for the extensive interview doesn't mean that they will too.

Thanks for the responses Hanne and crg14624. I checked with travel
agents. They say Houston waits are less, since Chicago gets
substantially more international airline traffic. The alrline's new
777 capacity adds to the passenger count, causing extra delays.
Thanks again!

(Wish The groups were more civil as in the nntp rn/trn days. Yes I am
that old)

Seeker wake up and smell coffie you are too paranoid of Hindus .Latest
US body search directives mean that you wil have to educate your
daughter and wife to pull down their panties gracefully to show that
they dont have any bruises on bums or rope marks on inner thies
indicative of attending terrorist camps.
