H1B problem...

Hello folks...

I am having a problem with my H1B. I want to know know if anyone else
has/had the same problem:

I have been on a H1B for 2 years and 8 months. I now want to change
employers. So I and my prospective employer (the one who is offering me
this new job) filled out a labor condition application to the Dept. of
Labor's New York office about 2 months ago. We haven't heard anything
back. I have never known anyone having to wait that long for a stupid
labor condition (I am not talking about labor cirtification here). So
much so that I am getting worried. The guys who are offering me this
fantastic job can't wait for ever. Actually, I am surprised that they
have waited this long. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
