Thanks for the help with the I-130. The G-325a seems even more
confusing!

So I've filled them all out except at the top where it asks for file
number? Since this is the 1st part being sent in we don't have one,
should I put N/A or None?

And at the bottom it says "this form is submitted with regards to
application for Naturalization, Status as Permanent Resident, or
Other". Which one should I use? We're applying for dh to be able to
live in the US.

Finally, the embassy website says:Only submit one copy. Do not submit
multiple copies even though you may see instructions to do so elsewhere.
So should I only send in the 1st page for each or does one copy count as
all 4 pages?

I would call but of course to answer questions its a pay number.

Thanks!

You can write None, or just draw a line through it for now. He doesn't
have a file number yet.

Permanent Resident.

One set of all 4 pages.

Hi:

The G-325A is an obosolescent form in which the only changes made in
decades is the change from Department of Justice Immigration &
Naturalization Service to Department of Homeland Security Citizenship &
Immigration Services.

To be honest, I don't think they even read the damn thing.

On file number, my practice is to put in "---" unless the person already
filling it out actually has a file number already. This allows for
interlineation when, and if, they assign a file number.

Check the box "other" and put in "I-130"

The CIS ***REGULATIONS*** have the force of law and they require a
form G-325A and it must be complete. It is a four page form. So put
in all four pages. If London DHS office doesn't want them, let them
dispose of them.

Hi:

The G-325A is a bitch of a form -- and that causes a lot of obsessing by
the "DIY" crowd. I understand the source of the anxiety -- but relax,
even if this is a "mistake" -- it is nowhere near fatal or even enough
to cause a delay. Don't sweat it.

Thanks for the advice!

We sent off the form but now I'm worried b/c we did check "permanent
resident." My 1st thought was other and I-130, but I caved and called
the help line and they said permanent res. Although, now I'm wondering
if the lady really knew.

I hope we don't have any problems for checking the wrong box, if we
should have checked "other". I guess we'll know in about 2 months time
since that is DCF London's current timeline.
