After you file the Form N400 , you will receive an application receipt notice from the USCIS acknowledging that your application has been received. Next you will have to go to the local Application Support Center (ASC) as specified in the letter from the USCIS on the scheduled date and time to get your fingerprints taken.Next USCIS will conduct a standard background check.They may have requested in the letter for any additional document.You need to send it to the USCIS.Next in the process of becoming a citizen would be to wait for the interview and take up the citizenship tests.After successful completion of them applicant will be able to take oath and receive citizenship certificate.
