Yamaha or Sony?

Hi Guys,

I need some advice which Home Theatre System do think is better overall?

Both systems are entry level systems I purchasing it as gift for my son he
just purchased a HDTV.

The Yamaha has 5.1 channel and overall lower power output compared to the
Sony. 550 Watts (110W x 5 RMS 0.9% THD, 1 kHz, 6 ?/8 ?) Lots of inputs and
outputs.

Sony is 6.1 channel higher output power 755 watts total 6x100 plus 155w sub
woofer. Less inputs and outputs but it will do the job.

Both are on sale for $350.00

Any comments would be appreciated!
