According to _OnSat_ and also the program guide in 4DTV, Nebraska's
NET PBS channels are now to be found at T8 [T4] 600, 601, and 602. But
all I get is a black screen whenever I go to those sites. Once
recently, however, one of the channels was showing a horse race! Has
there been any official word as to why these channels cannot be found
in this place? If not here, then where? Thanks for any help --E.A.C.

Where's T8 ?

Might park your dish on G1-03 overnight...and flick power button off.

Galaxy 28 is at 89.0° W, near where the old and now-defunct T4 had been.
Since NPS apparently cannot change the tile in the guide from T4 to T8,
one has to locate T8 using the T4 tile. (see:
http://www.lyngsat.com/galaxy28.html ) --E.A.C.

From satforums.com

As far as I know at this time, Motorola has T4 mapped correctly, but your
4DTV may need to be remapped to get the new T4 channels 600-603 entered
into your 4DTV's memory. Go to G1-3 or G5-100, make sure you have a green
DC light, turn off your 4DTV, unplug for 30 seconds, plug it back in, let
it sit for 30 minutes, then turn it back on, get a rehit. Then your 4DTV
should have those channels memorized. If you move to T4 at the designated
dish position, and select channel 600, and do not get a picture on T4-600,
try moving your dish position left or right slowly to get it to turn on.
Are you getting the ABC feed on T4-19 or T4-20, I don't remember which one
it is on and I am away from our 4DTV right now.

I've got them mapped correctly on my 4DTV - even verified frequency and
tried manually entering SR and FEC. just to be thorough. I know I'm
dead on the satellite because I peaked the position using some of the
DVB broadcasts on it.

Still I can not get the Nebraska PBS channels. I also tried the NTV DVB
channel listed in Lyngsat and couldn't get that either.

Take care,
Rich

Even though he's dead it makes about much sense
to vote for him as it does for the choices
that we have who are living. At least he's not
going change his position on anything.

My understanding is they are all HD now....in any event, I'm letting a
4DTV unit sit overnight...and will try Sunday to get them all.

No. T4-600, 601, 602, 613, 614, and 615 all come in fine as SD programs.
T4-603 is apparently an HD program.

I get sound but no picture on T4-603 or any other HD signal since I don't
have a HDD200 which is required for a picture with an HD signal. It is
listed as a HD signal and acts like a HD signal on a SD receiver. I don't
know it is a HD signal but I believe it is.
