I have the disk image but how do I get it to think it is lifetime?

You need to setup WiRNS on a PC on your LAN, set 4500's LAN settings to
manual, and point the 4500 to the PC. (set Gateway, DNS1, and DNS2) to
the WiRNS PC and you should be good to go.

You can also connect to LaHo.

I haven't used a 4500 but I have used a lot of 5000 units and it should
be the same. The unit becomes activated when it connects to the sever
(WiRNS or LaHo).

Thanks Mark. That sounds like a deal. I just want to get it going
again to make MP2 files from stuff I have on my Dish box.
I will probably end up putting a 40g in it since I am not really
planning on storing that much.
