When it seemed that the program guide was going away I finally hooked up
my reply to my computer. Having done that I thought that I would give
the photo viewer a try and downloaded ReplayTVPhotoTransfer_1.1.exe. I
ran the installation program and got an icon for my ReplayTV. I am able
to create subfolders in the photo folder and view them on my RTV. So
far so good.

Since my wife also have a ReplayTV, I thought that I would do the same
with hers. I installed the program, however no reply icon shows up.
ReplayTV shows up as part of her local network, but nowhere to create a
folder of photos.

The difference between our two setup is that I have a 5040 and WinXP,
and she has a 5580 and Win 7. Can I do what is needed to get her photos
viewable, since I think it is a neat feature?

That is not the case. When Photo Viewer is selected from the menu, it
shows 1G available for photos. There just does not seem to be a say to
move them into the folders under the replay.

Did you try disabling the Windows or 3rd party firewall on the PC
to see if that makes a difference?

Bythe way, WiRNS has a utility that will allow you to move photos
on and off the ReplayTV.

How would I access that utility?

Go to the main WiRNS configuration screen > Tools > Manage
Photos.

The local directory points at :\[root] (in windows, that is).
