I just got the City of Angels on LD the other day. It is a very
nice transfer with lots of extras like deleted scenes and making
of City of Angels. However, they left off the movie trailers!!
The DVD has all the extras plus the trailers. COA fits on one
LD so they pressed and extra LD just for the extras and leave
the trailers off? What the heck?!

The commentary was boring; no new insights and very little insider stuff
and the guy's voice is annoying as well. The Making of featurette was
much more enjoyable and deleted scenes are always fun. Lovely transfer!

No new insights and very little insider stuff? Not on the commentary track
I listened to... This is one of the more informative commentary track I have
heard, and I've heard alot of them. The LD did get Brad Seiberlng's
commentary track, right? I haven't listened to the writer and editor's one
yet...

Yup, my friend and I thought his commentary was boring but that's just
two opinions. Ok, other than gushing about that library, what a great
unexpected match Ryan and Cage made, and the fight to film some of it
outside of LA was boring. Not Spaceballs boring but not Life of Brian/In
Search of the Holy Grail interesting either.

Did they say anything about why someone felt the need to make a cheesy
Hollywood version of a great German film?
