that the 909 used the CU-DV018 while the 919 used the CU-DV030. Yet,
when I look at the UK site ~
http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/DVL-909.htm
the 909 shows the DV030 - anyone know the difference between the two?
Or where I can look?
The Pioneer DVL-909 was supplied with three different remotes:
1. Japanese models had a champagne remote with jog/shuttle
2. European models had a champage remote with a sliding lid, the CU-DV014
3. US models had a black remote with neither a sliding lid nor a
jog/shuttle, the CU-DV018
The DVL-919(E) remotes have about the same line-up and these are effectively
the same remotes except for one detail: the new Pioneer logo. Hence the have
new model numbers.
The UK laserdisc site page for the DVL-909 erroneously shows a US DVL-919
remote with number CU-DV030 as it has the new Pioneer logo. The buttons are
the same as on the CU-DV018 remote. The photo directly above the wrong
DV-CU030 remote shows a black US DVL-909 with the correct remote having the
old Pioneer logo. This is the CU-DV018.
All remotes have the same command set except the jog/shuttle one for the
Japanese models which have three scan speeds in stead of just one. Japanese
jog/shuttle remotes, as well as the remote of the Elite DVL-91 will control
the other DVL-9X9's with three scan speeds available.
