Huh? Sorry. Videodisc and laserdisc are usually interchangeable.
They were never called videodiscs because they only included analog
audio. The only exception is when you preface "videodisc" with "RCA"
which is another system altogether.
Regardless, Night of the Comet with Catherine Mary Stewart (from The
Last Starfighter) has never been on videodisc of any kind. This is an
error in Cinemania if it is showing as available.

PS I'd be glad to get rid of it!!!!
I've checked Cinemania '96, and it says only available on tape.
I've been in discs since 1980, and I'm positive it has never been
released. You be thinking of 1992's Year of the Comet which is completely
different and IS available on disc.

: >Uh--what *is* "Night of the Comet"?
: Cool thriller movie.
SPOILER
From an *old* memory:
A comet comes. Everyone who was outside turns to dust. Our heroine and
her sister (both inside at the crucial time) go to the mall. They're
attacked by some evil dudes -- OK not everyone turns to dust. They're
rescued by some semi-evil military types who want their blood for a curative.
They break out and get away. Somewhere in all this is a DJ at a radio
station as a love interest.
I told you it was an *old* memory. I remember really enjoying it when
I first saw it on cable.
