I have a Pioneer LD-V6000A laser disc player.

Unfortunately, the only functions I have ever accessed have been play,
stop and eject ! I bought it second hand with no manual or remote.

I need help !

* How can I use my PC to control it via the RS232 connector ?
I have tried a utility called 'SVC' and a laplink cable, with
no success. Is the cable correct ?
I configured the dip switches according to the defaults listed in
the program, but there is another set of dip switches which I know
nothing about.

* There is a 'Pioneer Laser Disc' component for media player in

Win95.
Is this useful for my player ? I tried it with my laplink cable,
.. and an error message to the effect of 'your player does not support
.. frames and milliseconds' was returned.

* Is a remote available ? Can I fabricate one ?

* The one accessory I have is a small box 5cm square that plugs into
. the RS232 connector. It is labelled 'PLAYER' on the top, and has
'4900-0030' on the bottom. It has a female 15 pin connector to
. it's rear, and 2 BNC female connectors attached to it's side.
.. What is this ?

Please mail me with _ANY_ suggestions !

Thanks

Walter Stuart
