I have two Magnavox CDV 305 that need repaired, any one out there able
to sugguest someone that can repair LD players.

The main problem is that they don't pick up the LD, but will play the cd
and small ld.

I am in Fayetteville, NC.

Thanks,
Nick

I can work on these players but I need to warn you that these are low end
players and might be cheaper to replace. I'd have to see them to know what
they are doing. I'm in Virginia next to Washington DC.

For the price to repair those Magnavox players, you could purchase a superior
Pioneer player, like the CLD-S201. The S201 is about the same level as the
CDV305, but with better overall quality in audio, video, and mechanical
integrity. - Reinhart

To anyone who can help,

I have an LD-W1 in need of repair. Sometimes the door will not open and
when it does work the unit will not switch down to the second disc. It
starts to switch disc's but then the door opens part way and stops. I
have taken this LD player to the recommended shop in my area but they
cannot seem to get it right. I live in Crownsville, MD. so if someone
knows where I can take this unit to get it repaired I would much
appreciate it. TIA.
