Simpsons on LD?

Anyone know if FOX plans to release a Simpsons LD set? Thanks for any info!

I read in laserdisc newsletter a while back that they cannot

release on laserdisc until they stop making new episodes.

I'm pretty sure that was the reason. Does anyone else have

any insight?

A few months ago, I had read in alt.tv.simpsons that Fox recognized the demand
and would release the episodes on disc after they were no longer in syndic-
ation. When that'll be, I have no idea. Neither did the person that posted
that information. Bummer.

In Autralia, you can buy many Simpson's episodes on video tape--there
must be about ten tapes, each about AU$25. I don't know way they get
them, and we, in the good old States, don't. The simpsons are on the
tube just as they are here.
