Hey,

Does anyone know of software that can rip video from an unfinalized
(open session) 1.4 GB from a DVD Camcorder?

On my PC, I can only see that the disc contains data through ISO Buster,
but I can't rip it in a usable format. I borrowed a friend's Panasonic
DVD am to finalize a bunch of the discs, but there are a couple it won't
recognize and I suspect it's because they were shot on a Sony cam.

Since there seems to be a piece of software made for hacking just bout
everything in the DVD world, I was wondering if anyone knew of a utility
that can finalize a DVDCam disc image or extract mpgs from it or
something.

Otherwise, I'll have to go down to the local Best Buy and try the two
stubborn discs on all of the display models until I find one that can
finalize them.

Thanks.

You could try to finalize the DVD on your PC.
On Nero sw, there is an option to finalize a DVD, maybe this also works with
your miniDVD.
