Unmarked
A film by Chris Haley & Brad J. Bennett
First Run Features

Unmarked is a documentary about African-American gravesites and burial grounds, especially those that were used to bury slaves. Many of these locations are untended; their history, and their connection to a dark chapter in America's past, is at risk for being entirely forgotten. Unmarked tells of those with personal connections to these sites, and efforts to preserve their history and legacy. Profound and powerful, Unmarked is highly recommended especially for school and public library DVD collections. 40 min.
