Apparently, 2 ATSC 3.0 signals are scheduled to go OTA here on 2021-08-24.

I wish there was a simple STB for receiving ATSC 3.0 broadcasts, so far,
only this from amazon.com:

SiliconDust HDHomeRun $199

It's puzzling, AFAIK, all of the ATSC 1.0 channels being broadcast by
these 2 ATSC 3.0 signals could be broadcast by 1 ATSC 3.0 signal.

No drama, at 10AM the ATSC 1.0 signal from KSMO UHF 32 was suddenly
switched to ATSC 3.0 (I videotaped the transition - no text crawl, no
nothing, just a sudden "NO SIGNAL" video from my Zenith STB)

I'll head over to Best Buy soon and ask them to put up an antenna to see
how the new ATSC 3.0 signal looks on one of their Sony/LG/Samsumg TVs.

Remember, those sets might be in store mode(torch/Vivid), so
not an objective assessment

On Tue, 24 Aug 2021 18:08:35 -0700, Theckmah saddled up one of his dead
hobby horses, and yee-hawed:

There it is. Theckmah rides his hobby horse.

Shit-for-brains rode this same trolling obsession into a different froup
just two days ago, but nobody took the bait. Desperate for a chance to
pretend he knows something about televisions. CWAFA! WAFR!

Moving the subchannels from KSMO has adversely affected the picture
quality on 9.2/MeTV (KMBC added 2 SDTV subchannels). I've noticed a
small amount of picture breakup on scene changes on Me TV since the
subchannels were added.

My oldest DTV tuners (Funai - Magnavox,TruTech) don't arrange the
channel numbers in sequential order, they go 38.3,38.4,38.1,38.2 using
ch up/down.

My Zenith STB does properly arrange the channel numbers (I haven't
checked my Sony HDTV, I have to hold the antenna out the window during
the channel scan).

Tried out my old RCA and GE STBs from ~2008 (they both have some weird
aspects, I don't use them, I just keep them in storage), both and my
Sony HDTV correctly arrange the (PSIP) channel numbers, even though the
RF channels are different for many of the subchannels.

Tried my (kinda weird) GPX STB w/USB recording, rescan -
channels/subchannels were in the correct order 38.1>.4 and 62.1>.5.

I may give it another chance, USB recording has a low noise picture,
unlike VHS SLP.
