Interesting recommendation for the $16 continental breakfast buffet at
Payard Patisserie & Bistro (Caesars)...

Hi Walt. Welcome back.

I perked up when Mitch mentioned this place in his TR. This makes it look
even more interesting
We usually do not do buffets anymore but this looks like it just might bring
us out of retirement.

Thanks for the heads up.

Considering the quality of the food, it sounds like one of the better
deals available on the Strip. Even I am tempted to go in there and
stuff my face full of fine croissants and pastries.

The dessert prix fixe mentioned for $45 seems way ovepriced - at many
of the better restaurants, desserts don't cost $15 - so why is $45 for
3 a good deal ?

Hard to say. When I was there in December, I checked out all of the
desserts in the walk up counter. They were all of a decent size, and
all looked very good. Much detail went into the decorating, and all
were first rate (in appearance). I'm not much of a dessert person, so
I didn't try any. I did go there for coffee every morning, which was
very good.

Maybe he mentioned it to make the breakfast buffet seem cheap by
comparison. Anyway, $45 is only around 2 or 3 euros, so what's the big
deal?

I'm a fan of desserts and an offer like this would be right down my
alley, but at this price ? Can't imagine they do that much business
with an offer like this.

There's that.
