I will be in San Diego to see it next weekend and I was just wondering
who in here is picking who to win the Super Bowl?

My prediction:
Raiders 34
Buccaneers 20

Good luck to both teams as they are both equally capable of winning.
It'll be Chucky vs. the Godfather. God, I can't wait! I just hope it's a
good game as last year's. Ta-ta!

I pledge allegiance, to the flag.
Of the Oakland Raiders of America.
And to the excellence, for which it stands.
Raider Nation, under Al, invincible.
With trophies and rings for all.

GO RAIDERS!!!
Just win, baby.

Elvis,

I always like to go for the contrarion angle. It worked well for me last
year (especially on the money line).

Anyway, this game will be dependent on how the refs call it. It will all
hinge on the Bucs corners vs. Raider receivers. The Raider "D" isn't as bad
as everyone says it, nor is the Bucs offense! The overriding element is the
Bucs Defense. Last year, the Rams offense looked unstoppable, until they ran
into the lockdown corners the Pats presented. I think the same thing will
happen to the Raiders.

Therefore, I'm confidently predicting:

Bucs 26, Raiders 17!!!

Very good analysis.

The defense for Tampa Bay is pretty overwhelming. But I think that
Oakland's front 5 is so big and bad that the Tampa Bay front won't be able
to get much penetration.

Like you, I also believe that the Raider D and Tampa O isn't as bad as
everyone thinks. I think that both of them will give us a few surprises.

I think that the Raider defense is going to have some big plays that
will deflate the Bucs. Also, I think the Raider offense will beat Tampa
Bay, especially in the secondary. I know how awesome they played last
Sunday and Rhonde Barber tore it up. But I think that the secondary is the
Bucs' weakness. And with Jerry Rice, Jerry Porter and Tim Brown, the
Raiders have speed and experience.

The Raider running game is excellent too. 3 great running backs to
choose from. I just feel that the Raider's offense is stronger than the
Bucs' defense and I think Gannon is a much better quarterback than Johnson.

Who knows, Tampa Bay could whip the Raiders' ass for all I know. But I
don't think it's going to happen. I think it will be a close game with the
Raiders pulling ahead in the 4th quarter.

Take care and good luck. I just can't friggin' wait.

BTW - Do you know who Hank Stramm has picked to win yet?

The All Pirate Bowl

4th Quarter, 12 seconds left, down by 4 the Bucs have the ball at the
Oakland 4, 4th down and goal. Bucs use their last timeout, and put Sapp in
the backfield. It's a direct snap to Sapp, who rolls (literally) left, and
then pitches the ball back to Brad Johnson, who fakes a pass across the
field to the right corner and then lopes into the end zone with his blinding
6.0 speed. The refs pick up 3 flags on the play and say there was no
penalty, the TD stands, and then Oakland's coach goes ballistic. He shouts
something in the head referees ear, who then goes to the sideline and begins
a replay review. Gruden goes ballistic, because a coach can't request a
replay in the final minutes, cut to commercial, and then ABC starts the
Heidi broadcast.

Bucs win 20-17

I guts to go with the best defense. Tampa Bay. New England beat St
Louis with Defense. Baltimore won with "D".

Well, I'm a Patirot's season ticket holder for 28 years (yeah, I can
take a joke)! I had them last year at 50-1. The day after the game I
took the Bucs at 28-1 to win this years' game. So, I'm hoping to have
MGM pay for my trip again.

I heard Hank on the radio last night, and he likes the Raiders....BUT...he said
because of the way the NFL changed the way the do something, he couldn't work
his patented forumla anymore.

The guy is getting pretty old and wasn't too clear about what changed that made
him unable to do his magic formula, but indeed he said he couldn't.

So....the Raiders is just his opinion and can't be banked on as in the past.
Too bad. I made a mint on the Patriots money line last year.

I rarely bet sporting events unless I'm in Vegas and even then don't
do it a lot. But I do get into the Superbowl Squares. Had 4 sets of
numbers at $25 each. One set was Raiders 3 Tampa 3. So won the first
quarter at $500.

Uhhh, GOING DOWN in San Diego is NOT the same as going to the
SuperBowl in San Diego.

Remember, you were "going down" on your Priest on Sunday. That's NOT
the same thing.

YOU obviously didn't, but then, losing that $5.00 bet cost you dearly.

Uh, where did I state I was "going down" on this thread, PORK CHOP? You
need to get back to school so that you can get out of kindergarten and learn
how to read properly. And no, Dick & Jane books don't count. Even though
we all know how much you love DICK.

Actually I was going down on a nice girl on Saturday. You know how
those college girls from SDSU love to get (and give) head. Oh, never mind.
You don't! Maybe your daughter does. Ooops, you don't have one of those
either!

HA HA HA! I sure did win a lot of $. But too bad you didn't since your
FUDGE packers lost on their home turf.

BTW - I win more $ off you than anything else. Thanks, dummy!

> but then, losing that $5.00 bet cost you dearly.

I lost 20 times that amount betting on your stupid Ream Bay FUDGE
Packers.

> That was, like........ 1/2 your take home pay?

More like 0.0001 of my take home pay.

> Whatta LOSER you AND your beloved team turned out to be!

I'll try to remember that when I look at these pictures of me and Jerry
Rice, Bill Romanowski, Marcus Allen and a whole slew of Raiders I had the
opportunity to take pictures with and get autographs from last weekend.

Then I will remember that YOU watched the Super Bowl in your little
cardboard "house" with a 10" analog TV you got at the Salvation Army.

All while still mourning your first wife. Boo-hoo.

Then I will sit back and laugh. Oh, my....I'm starting to laugh at you
now. HA HA HA!!!!

I only saw him briefly down in San Diego. I missed him when he left the
