Ok, so I'm heading to Vegas in a few months with a few thousand dollars...
you would think the Hotels & Casino's would want my money... whats the best
way to get "them" to offer me something to entice me to stay with em?

If yah know, share it. If yah don't...
Thanks!

Take a look at Playsys.com. That might be a place to start.

Not a bad answer, but the original poster has absolutely no idea about Vegas.
One doesn't just go to Vegas with a couple of K and plan to get some comps.

Visit every hotel and sign up for their club cards. And use it EVERY
time you play slots or table games. You may not get comped on this
trip, but you'll get many offers in the mail for your next trip.

I have nothing to hide Chuck, how about you?? Of course, I can understand
you not wanting anyone to know about you. With your reputation preceding
you, you could lose out on what little attention they pay you.

$2,000 coin in a day (VP and or Slots) will get your room comped at Fremont
& Plaza, downtown. $3,000 coin in a day will get you a comped room at
Suncoast, a very nice property. Terribles, Key Largo will give you a free
room for very little play. El Cortez will comp you 3 nights , four times a
year for winning a $200 JP on VP or slots. $2,000 coin in does not require
anywhere close to $2,000 cash if you play FPVP. Doc, you need to stick to
high roller advice. There are plenty of comps available for those with a
$2,000-$3,000 bank roll. You just have to avoid the STRIP, which one should
do anyway if they want to win.

Couldn't have said it any better myself! (Don't hesitate to ask a pit boss or
slot host immediately after playing or getting up from a table to see if they
can give you a comp right then also!)

Oh please, the ONLY way to win is to use the match play coupons casinos hand
out. And since you can't get enough of those to make it profitable, forget
about winning at gambling.

Unless you're lucky, LOL.

I did that and have not received all that many gimmicks and I have a stack
of slot cards 3 inches thick.

So far only, Sahara, Strat, Paris, Terribles, Palms (the most), and Key
Largo are the only ones to send me promotions.

Then again, I don't play slots much and they obviously don't rate coupon
play at the tables, LOL.

I think you need to pick a place and stay with them first and gamble with them
for them to know who and what you are. Otherwise, they won't do a thing for
you.

wrong again bill, but what's new? FPVP is definitely a positive expectation
game. Why don't you invest $30 your coupon winnings and purchase Bob
Dancer's Winpoker. You can do computer runs that will verify the positive
returns as well as learn perfect strategy. Unlike, negative expectation
games, the more you play, the more you win. I just did a computer run for
slightly over 1 million hands (which could easily be played in a year by
someone with as much time on their hands as you have). The return would have
been $34,150 on dollar FPVP (JOB & DW & pick'em) and $8537 on quarter
machines. Since there are no, dollar FPDW machines, this figure would be
about the same from dollar machines, playing the Strat & Key Largo 9/7 JOB
machines instead of DW. These figures do not include cash back and comps
which would be significant. To win on VP you have to cover 5 points
according to Bob Dancer who makes a living from VP:

1. Play games that offer more than 100% return (including cash back and
comps)
2. Learn how to play these games very well.
3. Do not play any game where you do not have a mathematical advantage.
4. Accumulate a sufficient bankroll ($4,000 should be more than enough for
.25 players)
5. Learn to deal with inevitable financial swings.

One could easily supplement there retirement by $20,000+ a year following
this plan ($1 machines). Can you do that with coupons alone? Jean Scott is
a pain in the @ but she has made many thousands of dollars following this
plan as have numerous other low profile Las Vegas residents.

DUHHHHHHHH, I guess you figured that one out Sherlock Holmes. If you play VP
instead of slots you will be playing a positive expectation games and you
will receive hundreds of offers in a year since you are a local resident.
(locals receive more offers for COUPONS since they don't have to worry about
rooms) You'd have to average $25 a hand on table games for a minimum of 4
hours on the days you play to qualify for the same offers.

every possible hand.

Yes, Shrek. TWO college degrees. Not ONE, but T-W-O. I know it's
difficult for a HS drop-out, with NONE, to grasp, but achieving
TWO degrees is very much do-able. Even a fat bloated turd, such
as yourself, can do it if you really tried.

Your jealousy is eating away at you, Shrek. Why don't you just get your
fat ass off the couch (reinforced to handle 500lbs) and earn your GED,
then apply for a STUDENT LOAN and attend a community college. Finally,
a goal not involving comped buffets.

Hey Shrek, Fred Flintstone called, he wants HIS head back! (LOL)

practice, practice, practice... Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild is not that
difficult to learn. You can play $1 9/6 JOB and .25 DW at numerous places in
LV. You won't get rich but you would probably have a good time, get some
cash back and plenty of comps. I just had the computer play .25 9/6 JOB for
171,000 hands. At 600 hands an hour (reasonable recreational player speed)
it would take 285 hours to play. If you played 6 hours a day, it would take
47.5 days to play. So lets say, 2 months of play. That is 855,793 quarters
played with 871,588 won for a 101.85% payback. That is $3,948.75 in your
pocket for 2 months of play. Now figure cash back and comps for $217,897
coin in and you have had a very productive 2 months. This return is higher
than the normal return but you always get the cash back. .25% cb = $544.
You would have been comped 2 meals a day and received numerous mailings and
coupons for that kind of play. Come on bill, give it a try. I think you
would be pleasantly surprised at the results.

wasn't it you that pointed out that 9/6 JOB with a payout of 1 on 2 pair is
a rip-off?

I was looking around tonight and saw a lot of that. Even on 5 buck
machines.

I'm not saying you can't break even with the cash back deal, just seems like
a lot of effort for just breaking even.

Stayed at the Rio for a week in December? (when the cowboys were in town) We
charged everything to the room and did most of our gaming there. We always
used our cards. My wife plays nickel slots only, I play mostly $10/$15
Blackjack. When we checked out all but $44 of our bill was comped. I won 600
for the week and my wife lost 400. Frequent flyer miles paid for our airfare
and rental car.

The big thing I have learned is that you have to charge things to your room if
you want a chance. I watched alot of people ask pit bosses for comps and get
turned down. I don't know if this unique to the Rio /Harrahs or if it the
Vegas way. In Atlantic City I was able to get comps from the pit boss for
meals, but didn't get anything for the room.

Yes, 1 coin on two pair is a rip for JOB. To be full pay the table should
be:
Royal 250
S.F 50
4 kind 25
FH 9
Flush 6
Straight 4
3 kind 3
2 pair 2
JOB 1

You must look for full pay machines. Most machines are not full pay but
there are plenty around. I HAVE been giving you free coaching! Start with
Winpoker software and go from there. There is no better way to spend $30
bucks. I will be in town Feb.15-20. Email me for details.

Always cheaper to buy what you want. Figure it out on a calculator. You'll
fall out into the floor...unless you are going to gamble it away anyhow. If
so, hell, get something back for it. :)
