There was a time when the mainstream media, while left leaning,
could still be counted on to report the news whether or not it was
approved by the White House. The mainstream media was America's watch dog
to keep government in check.

However, that changed in 2008 when Barak Obama ran for President. Whether
this change in the mainstream media was caused by white guilt, the appeal
of his left wing political policies, liberal's hatred of President Bush,
the historic fact that he would be the first African American President or
a combination of these factors is debatable.

What is not debatable is that the mainstream media abandoned objective
reporting and became
committed to the success of Obama and his presidential campaign. When
Obama won, grown men in the mainstream media openly wept tears of joy and
Chris Matthew's proclaimed that he "feels a thrill run up his leg when
Obama speaks." The mainstream media went from being America's watchdog to
Obama's lap dog.

This encouraged and facilitated a stunning government power grab, invasion
of individual privacy and trampling of Constitutional rights by the Obama
administration. Including the use of the IRS to single out, attack, audit
and punish Conservative groups and individuals that opposed Obama's
policies or made donations to his political opponents.

In addition, their personal information was leaked to left wing groups
that attacked
them, their families and their businesses. The IRS persecution of
Conservative groups and individuals was wide spread and could never have
happened without the approval of the Obama administration.

However, Obama's control of the media was not complete. In a recorded
interview he complained that "There is one television station that always
looks for problems in my administration." That being the Fox News
Network. Obama was outraged that Fox News refused to buckle under,
continued to challenge his propaganda and to hammer his Press Secretary
with tough questions.

Obama and his sycophants have conducted a non-stop war to discredit and
marginalize Fox News. From attempting to exclude them from news stories
to the Attorney General spying on their private e-mails and telephone
records and naming Fox's lead Washington reporter a "criminal
co-conspirator" under the Federal Espionage Act.

Fortunately, Fox News stood its ground. And now the scandals,
deceptions, lies and attempted cover-ups of the Obama administration have
been exposed and are blowing up in his face. Congress, fueled by numerous
government whistle blowers, has launched a full investigation. Obama's
Attorney General, Eric Holder, was caught lying to Congress about spying
on Fox News and Obama's IRS Manager took the Fifth to avoid incriminating
herself in that growing scandal.

So again, thank you Fox News; the last free news network left in Obama's
America.

Liberals say they are willing to consider opposing points of view, but are
always shocked, angry and outraged to find they exist.

yeah -- don't you miss the good ol' days when all the "mainstream media"
did was get us into wars of aggression --- when guys like Skooter Libby
and Karl Rove and Cheney used top outlets to fan the flames? yeah --
those were the good old days.

The morons that watch Faux do a pretty good job of it themselves since
as Faux itself admitted in court, they are really an "entertainment"
channel and NOT a news channel! That pretty much explains why folks
like Hannity, O'Reilly, etc. are able to blatantly lie and distort the
news each day. It's all just "entertainment" or appropriately called:
right-wing/conservative propaganda and bullshit!

Well, a lot of people like to get their news from fox versus msnbc. Check
the ratings and you will see that O'reilly and Hannity get 2 to 4 times
the viewers versus that lesbian cunt Rachel Maddow.
Hell, the fox guys get 2 to 4 times the viewers versus ANY of the trash
that works for msnbc.
Their ratings are at the bottom of the barrel and poor boy Zucker, the CEO
doesn't know what to do. (posted on national news within the past 10 days).
As for fox being an entertainment channel, you took one statement they
made in court and twisted it around to take it out of context.. Their news
and entertainment sectors are 2 different entities and the o-reilly,
Hannity and smith programs are all news and not entertainment. They are
the shows that are blowing msnbc out of the water.

Obama is up to his neck in a shit tide of scandals, lies, corruption and

Fact is, Fox News viewers are generally better informed than other groups
- particularly the low information lot at MSNBC. Which helps explain why
MSNBC is always at the bottom of the viewer ratings barrel. Another
reason is that the head of MSNBC recently made a statement that viewers
looking for "breaking news" should not look for it on MSNBC. Apparently
he is satisfied with MSNBC's small market niche as 'all left wing
propaganda, all the time'.

If , what fox news puts out is not really news, then why does Obama looks
for ways to put them out of business?
Like having his goons petition the FCC to ban fox news from the air. They
tried that, but as usual, they found that the constitution got in the way.
That pesky old constitution. I bet Obama would like to burn the original
copy at one of his fundraisers, but doesn't have the balls.
also, if Fox news is not a legitimate news source, Obama gestapo sure
spends a lot of time criticizing them. Why not just ignore them? Because,
what fox talks about, is subject Obama doesn't want to people to know
about or think about.

STFU is the cornerstone of the liberal movement. why do you think the
liberals came out with political correctness? It was designed to make
conservatives STFU and refrain from having disagreements with the
liberals. Sorry to say, many people fell for this game and now subscribe
to PC.
I don't. PC is a philosophy; not a law, so I can sit back and tell
liberals like Tom "piece of shit" Ronson or Barack "piece of shit" Obama
to kiss my fucking ass and there is not one thing they can do about it.
This drives liberals nuts, when someone speaks out and they can't

It is amazing how prevalent this has become, and how pervasive it is. A
fine example is this recent study:

http://www.pnas.org/content/110/23/9314

The basics: People were given a limited amount of money and had to
select between a standard light bulb and a CFL. When the boxes had only
literature describing the energy use all people were just as likely to
buy either one of the bulbs. As soon as they put a label on the CFL's
that said "protect the environment" they saw, "a significant drop-off in
more politically moderates and conservatives choosing that option".
Exact same bulbs, but because because they've been brainwashed into
thinking that anything that has "environment" on it is just for dirty
hippies they won't have anything to do with it, even when it has
negative effects on their financial bottom line.

And that is the kind of thing that really ticks me off. This country
has a TON of problems right now, and the partisan garbage is absolutely
killing us.

The light bulb didn't change when the label went on just the perception
of it did, a perception that was formed at least in part by people who
have a vested interest in the outcome. And that seems to be the
strongest guiding force the nation has today. Instead of "We the
People" it's become "We the Deluded".

And the saddest part is the vast majority of people are not all that far
off in what they believe in. The media and political parties wants to
portray personal views of Americans as being

________________________This far apart _____________________________

but the reality is when you ask detailed questions about issues they are
only

_This far apart_

I have no expectations of changing the hyper-partisans or chronically
mentally deficient, (you know who you are, or if you don't, everyone
else does), but what I ask of everyone else is to do one simple thing:
think. Use your brain. When you read an article or are sent something,
from either side, don't just take it at face value. Research it. Use a
little critical thinking to decipher on your own the merits of what is
being promoted. In order to survive we need a lot more people who
refuse to be spoon fed partisan dogma.

That's not a fact, Mike - it's propaganda or more typically the type of
misinformation stupid people cite to try and convince themselves and
others that they're informed. You're living proof that it even in this
enlightened age, it can still work on an underclass of intellectual
